Lately, the overtime has really been heavy.  Some of it is self-inflicted, but most is just needed to get the job done.  Overtime on occasion isn't too bad, I have always had some overtime being in accounting and the family understands.  The overtime lately has been constant.  I always try to have a little time with the kids each day.  When I have been working overtime; I either chat with them in the morning before school or put them to bed....at least tuck them in and maybe even sing a song.  Taking the time to see the kids, even if only for a few minutes, makes life worth it all.  I have found that writing helps get some things off my chest.  I keep up with friends on facebook, colleagues on linkedin, and look through my email once a week.  One of my best stress relievers is talking with my Mom when I drive home.  I think it is important to keep up connections.  Making sure I am not doing all of the work for nothing or losing out on life.  Let me know how you relieve stress when working a lot of overtime......
